Steeping bag substitute

Is there anything I can use as a substitute steeping bag?

I used 2 layers of cheese cloth the first time. It's going to need a lot of space for grain expansion though. Also works for Hop bags.

go to home depot and buy a pack of paint strainer bags...they work fine and are CHEAP.

You can buy cheesecloth or muslin at any supermarket that sells pots and pans. It's in the same section.

Muslin is waaay cheap for grain bags.

For hops I use cheap pantyhose. They're a buck for 4 pair at Wal-Mart. I do make sure to soak them first.
