First brewing attempt (as I've said in my previous post) - I have been fermenting for 13 days and the specific gravity readings have remained constant at about 1.01.

Does a steady SG indicate that the brew is fermented enough for bottling?

I did google that question and couldn't find the answer... but am sure you folks can point the way.

Again, gracia

The SG remaining the same over a period of three to five days does mean fermentation is complete, except for a yeast like WY 3787. With this yeast SG may drop a couple more points with another week or so in the primary. !.010 seems like a good FG for most ales.

Giving your beer more time in the primary will let it clear, which results in less bottle sediment.

If you have been steady for three days or more at ~1.010 you are ok to bottle.

Reminds me of "the countdown to Christmas morning" ... 21 days in storage; then 7 days or so in the fridge; then
