I recently purchased an STC1000 online and when it arrived I realized it was a 220 volt and not 110. Is there any chance i can still use this for my fermentation chamber?

Yes. Easiest is to desolder the transformer and bridge its connections. That makes is a 12V unit instead. Power it with a 12V wall wart (an AC or DC one, or the polarity of a DC one, won't matter as the STC has a rectifier bridge after the transformer).

OR

If you still want to feed it directly from mains, you can replace the relays with 5V equivalents. That would make it work.

Just FYI... I have around 100 transformers that are 110 volt for the STC, due to a wrong shipment... (that is, I have changed transformers in 100 units to 220v....) I'd gladly send you a few, but the shipment from sweden alone would probably make it cheaper for you to just buy another STC.

Thanks for the help, but i guess we will just call this a lesson learned. I will just have to wait a little longer for my fermentation chamber.
