I am building a fermentation unit soon.
I just ordered a STC unit and began research on how I would set it up.
I gotta say, a little intimidating for someone who doesn't work with electricity much. Sure the price is 15 bucks rather than 80 but it's obvious this is why. The STC-1000 is just the actually apparatus that controls the temp, but the user has to set up all the wiring.
Am I correct that the Johnson controller is vastly easier to setup? From what I can tell, the Johnson is ready to go out of the package. No foreplay needed. I'm wondering if it may be worth it to just shell out the $ and go for the Johnson.
Any input or advice would be appreciated.
