Getting ready to build a keezer and I'm wondering if anyone has wired the outlet differently? The diagram I've seen has you wiring 1/2 an outlet for cooling, and the other half for heating. I don't have any need for heating.
This is the wiring article I'm referencing. https://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pimp-my-system/build-temperature-controller/
I know a little bit about electric, but it also makes me a little nervous. So here are my questions:
1. If I skip the heating part of the wiring, and run a 'hot' line directly from the power source to the hot side of the other outlet, that would make that half of the outlet always on. Correct?
2. Or if I don't wire the other half of the outlet at all, and don't break the tab between the outlets, that would make it so both outlets were cold. Correct?
Thanks,
john
