Found the typical CL minifridge for 40$...but neglected to measure it prior to purchase and it is about 1 inch too small for my plastic carboy. Bummer, but I was planning on expending it out to hold 2 carboys at once anyways so no big deal. Hopefully I will be using this thread as a running log of my progress (and headaches). I have only been brewing for about a year, but already love it. Everyone I have talked to have said the best way to have the biggest improvement on your brews is temperature control. So here I go.

The plan is to have the door no longer attached to the rest of the fridge and be closed a a 90 degree angle letting me push a carboy to the left toward the body of the fridge and have a second directly in front of the door. I will have to remove the hinges and reattach them to the new frame I am building. There have been a few builds like this, but I am trying to keep the impact on the space in my garage to a minimum as when storms come through, I still need to be able to pull the cars into the garage. Wish me luck!

Picture is disassembled door awaiting a new covering.
