Hi everyone, I thought I would introduce myself. This is my first post here and my second serious attempt at starting to home brew. I started out with a few batches brewed by a Mr. Beer kit that I got thanks to SWMBO! They turned out decent but it got me thirsty for more so I bought a kit from Midwest Supplies. I tried my hand at an extract Brown Ale over the spring and summer that didn't turn out quite how I liked, and since I decided to try my hand at Law School this fall, I didn't really get a chance to follow up or even really finish drinking my home brew. Well, since I decided to quit law school and get another degree closer to home, I want to try my hand again at doing some home brewing. I think this time I am going to brew half batches as this makes them more easy to manage, I can go through them quicker, and I can try multiple styles through the year. I already ordered a couple of 3 gallon carboys from Midwest, and thanks to a search of this forum, I already found a place to custom build my own ingredient kits so I can brew with the right amounts. Well, I have already rambled on enough. I just thought I would introduce myself and I look forward to being a part of this community.

Cheers! :mug:

Welcome Murphy!

Be careful with brewing, its on hell of a disease to catch! But I would be lying if I said I didn't love every minute standing above my brewkettle, or even breaking my back bottling. A great hobby, with a great hobby!

Hopefully round II works better for you!
