Starter yeast... How long?

I made a starter yeast last weekend because I was going to brew. I never got around to it and my starter has been in a growler with some tin foil on top since last Friday night. Will I be ok to use that starter if I brew this weekend? It will have sat for one week by the time I brew.

Similar situation here. Planning on taking the starter in the flask and putting it in the fridge for a few days until my new pump comes. Should be ok to use within a week or so, right?

A week or two is fine. Go beyond that and decreasing viability might start to be a concern.
