Noob question here:
I made my first starter tonight. Got my starter kit from Morebeer which included a flask. I followed the directions and boiled right in the flask. What a mistake! I had several boil overs. When I was finished I ended up with 700mL of wort. I cooled what I had boiled after 15 min and pitched. My question is have these boil overs messed up my OG? Should I have topped off before I pitched the yeast?

The whole idea in doing a starter is to create a wort for your yeast to multiply in. As long as you've created a wort that will allow your yeast to multiply in then you achieved your goal, regardless of how many times it boiled over.
