I made a starter last week with the intentions of brewing last Friday well with the holiday and everything else that happened this last week i didn't get to brew. So my question is, is it ok that my starter sat out all week or should i have put it in the fridge at some point? Am I worried about nothing and should i just swirl it up and pitch it tomorrow or do i need to make a new one?

I wouldn't worry about it - its like you made a little beer and the starter is the yeast cake. You could step up or re -start the starter with some new wort, but unless its a huge beer, I'd probably pour off most of the liquid, swirl up the yeast cake in the remaining liquid and pitch it in the beer.
