Why go to all that trouble to make a starter and then let it sit? The most I do is 4 days to settle out for decanting and thats a kolsch yeast, most settle in 1-2 days. That being said I've been making starters closer to brew day and pitching at high krausen for a lag time of only 6-8 hrs.as for repitching it's rack and rinse same day as pitching. I never make a starter from rinsed yeast if it gets old (I make bread out of it) I save a portion of each starter to make a new one with,so that yeast has only been in 35-40 GU and no hops. So far so good.
