ok so i brewed a american porter didn't realize yeast was so old stopped bubbling after 2 days i put some more fresh yeast but few bubbles no settled sediment on top or bottom.....i am thinking the brew might be trash....help please.....and have two light brews doing fine right next to the porter, though the temp did drop pretty bad for two days.....any help apriciated

Different yeast strains and gravity? Did you do a gravity check? thats the only way to really know if you have a problem.

You're not going to see as much in a dark porter as compared to a lighter beer.

ok initial gravity and final gravity are good (by the kit and directions 1.043 beginning and 1.012 final and those are what i measured).....it was an all malt porter and ingredients were (dark malt extract, dried malt extract dextrin, grain chocolate malt, hop pellets and ale yeast).....the lack of fermentation bubbles after only two days bothered me and lack of sediment on bottom or anything really floating (my previous beers have had a lot of both floating stuff and sediment on bottom)

you're saying you did already hit the expected final gravity ?

... best i know that means your done... it was just fast. was it a small batch ?

see if final SG changes over a day or two. if you hit the final SG though, there's alcohol in it... anything else is still to be determined.

it was a small 5 gallon batch in glass carboy........never been that fast that's why i am confused.......
