I did my brewing yesterday as far as doing the mash and laundering buy didn't boil until today. I notice the wort has an odd smell to it, almost like spoiled hamburger. Do you think it's still safe to boil down and ferment?

It's safe, in that it won't hurt you, but by not boiling the wort after mashing/lautering, all the lactobacillus in there got a chance to grow and you'll have a sour mash type beer on your hands.

So it will taste like crap?

You won't get rid of the "sour taste" but it won't get worse after the boil.

Ok thanks. Lesson learned. I keep it and see how it turns out. The sour taste is very faint.
