Spike Flex+ vs Kegland Kegmenter

So looking for a new fermenter that I can do pressure transfers.
I really like the Spike but not the price.
The Kegmenter isnt as "pretty" as the Spike but does the same thing.
Is there a reason why I should buy the Spike over the Kegmenter?

Just trying to justify the cost difference as I don't see anything that the Spike does that the Kegmenter can't.

Another option is a 10 gallon corny. I love mine, wouldn't trade it for anything. More expensive than the Kegmenter new, but you might find a used one and really save $$.

I second this. Found two for $50 CAD each. Another $20 to add a floating dip with mesh screen over the intake. Best and cheapest pressure rated SS fermentors. A close second would be the 5 gal kegs.

I am about a week away from developing a 4” lid for the kegmenter that will have a stainless coil, thermowell, dip tube and blowoff post so you can do temp controlled fermentation in the kegmenter.

BEHOLD: The temperature controlled kegmenter. The unit works perfect with my glycol system. I feel as though it holds a more consistent temp range than my SS brewtech Unitank. I have used this unit for over a year now and it works great. This unit will do everything a unitank can do minus the ability to do bottom dumps. I ferment, cold crash and can even carbonate and serve from this tank if I want.
The coil itself is on a 4" TC lid and the bottom of the coil sits about 3" from the bottom of the inside of the kegmenter. On the top of the lid are 3 ball lock bulkheads. 1 of which has had the poppet removed as to fit a 16" long stainless steel thermowell that runs down the center of the coil. The other 2 are a gas post and a liquid post outfitted with a floating diptube.
I use the liquid post to do 2 things:
1. During fermentation: With the aid of a picnic tap on a liquid disconnect I am able to pull samples whenever I want.
2. I pressure transfer to kegs.
I use the gas post to do 2 things:
1. During fermentation: With the aid of a gas disconnect on a short length of tubing into a jar of sanitizer it serves as a blowoff.
2. I use this post to force CO2 in durring cold crashing and transfer.

Looks good. I already ordered parts for mine. I only got a gas fitting. should have got a liquid out as well. figured I'd just switch lids for the transfer. It would be nice to pull samples out while fermenting.

Which coil did you use? My keg fermenter is a 1/4 barrel keg so its short and most coils I see are too long. Cover to bottom of keg is about 12 inch.

I used a spike. Someone posted a part that would make it work for you on my thread gly-coil
