I am going to make some of my Apfelwein sparkling, and am wondering if it's ok to use wine bottles and corks?

I was going to prime to roughly the same level as my ales, about 90g dextrose to 10 litres.

Would this level of carbonation push the corks out? Should I stick with crown capped and pet bottles?

Only champagne style bottles are designed to withstand the pressure. Ordinary wine bottles will burst, or the corks will push out. I've bottled in champagne style bottles with the plastic stoppers & wire hoods, it's easy. All you need other than the bottles, stoppers & wire hoods are a rubber mallet & a little wire twisting tool you can get at the HBS. Regards, GF.

ok, thanks.

I don't have a supply of those sorts of bottles, so the sparkling will go into crown capped bottles for this round.
