SOS - Small Glass Jar??

I recently purchased the Hopstache Black IPA kit from Midwest Brew Supplies and it came with a mystery ingredient. This will be my 3rd extract brew and I have yet to come across this before. The glass bottle is about the size of a Tylenol pill bottle. I opened it up to have a look and take a sniff. It's dark and has a sweeter scent. The instructions on the kit don't mention this at all. Ideas??

On the side of the box the kit comes in it lists Sinamar as also included. I suspect that is what you have. It adds a dark color to the beer without changing its flavor. http://www.midwestsupplies.com/sinamar.html

Thank you! Since it is not mentioned in the instructions, do you have a recommendation as to when I should add it? I see it said to the kettle or fermenter...?

Since it doesn't react with the beer other than color you can probably add it whenever.

I made one of these kits last year. Great Black IPA and yes the ingredient is only for adding dark color to your batch. Strange that it was left out of the instructions. I believe I added it towards the end of the boil with 10-5 minutes left.
