Made a yeast sterner turned it on to stir my son seen and turned it off this morning noticed it wasn't stirring. Is it still alright to continue to stir it. Or have I lost the starter

It will be fine to continue stirring the starter. You can make starters without a stir plate so no issue with it stopping.

LOL sorry to laugh but this amused me, kids to the darnedest things. Anyhow, BF is correct i don't have a stir plate I just shake it up when I walk by it and the starters work just fine.
