hoping to brew up an wheat Saturday but the wife and one of the kids have been sick all day today, brew day may get pushed back a day or two.

I'm wanting to brew sat. But my son is going to be born eather today, or Tom. So it might have to wait till Sunday. I have been working on a new rye IPA to name after him, what everyone think of it? Mash is 152 for 75 min.

Congrats on the (pending) birth of your son!

There ARE a few things that take priority over beer...congratulations! I hope everything goes smoothly and everyone is healthy.

Getting ready to mash a hoppy American Red Ale now. Finally opening that pound of centennial I bought. Hoping to get my hands on some Conan soon and I'll open the pound of Citra.

I got an early start on the brew day, and got my American Brown in the ferm chamber, bubbling away. :)

I'm not set up yet to lager but I have a craving for that style. I'm debating between a California Common and a Blonde Ale. It's hot here in so cal (90* today) and I'm thirsty. Looking to get some grains in the morning.

Not sure if all read my post on the last pg. but I decided to wing it and brew tonight. Her contractions slowed, so I'm brewin while I can :) almost time to sparge

I hope I can get up and start around 8ish on a Fat Tire before my tire goes flat. lol

Brewing Northern Brewer's patersbier recipe tomorrow morning.

I've never made or even had that style before, but a while back I made a dubbel with 1214 yeast. Before pitching, I tasted the starter beer and thought "Wow! That would be good in just a basic pilsner recipe." Lo and behold, Trappist yeast in a basic pilsner recipe is a patersbier. NB's recipe got rave reviews on their website, so I'm giving it a go but subbing my leftover 1214 for the 3787 yeast they call for.

I got a Rouge Shakespeare Stout extract kit a while ago so I went to my LHBS and bought more DME & yeast to bump it up to a 10 gallon batch. It will be my first 10 gallon batch that I'll rack half over vanilla beans after the first week and the other half I'll leave alone. Hoping I can bang this brew day out rather quickly since it's just DME.

Heading over to a friend's house today to help him brew a Founders Centennial clone. I haven't seen his setup, but it it is supposed to be sick.

I should be starting a Dry Stout in about an hour from now. It's the first time brewing with my exterior burner, and I'm sure something will go wrong, but it should be a learning experience if nothing else.

Heading to a buddy's house right now to brew up two batches. Since I just brewed a 3 gallon batch yesterday, I won't actually be brewing any beer...I'll just be drinking and barking orders at everyone else. I'm a great friend.

Just started a gallon batch of pomegranate wine and will be starting a 5g dark winter wheat this weekend as well using all the new gadgets and toys from christmas including a stir plate which I am really looking forward to using

I'm doing an Irish red this weekend. SHMBO is my assistant brewer. I told her that assistants usually brew in the nude. She didn't buy it...
