Hoping I can get some feedback on my hop schedule here. I'm good with the Pale Ale Malt end, so this time around I'm really looking for the hops to shine. I think my bitterness is ok, but I want to make sure to get more flavor and aroma from the Cascades. I use an ice bath for chilling, so my chill time is a bit longer. I would say an hour give or take.

Adjusted my last 2 additions to 1.5 oz each. Brings the IBU's to a bit above 45 (45.32). :rockin:

Just finished a pint of this 2 mins ago. Very tasty beer with grapefruit hints. Similar recipe:

54g Cascade (9% alpha)

Early bottles tasted very fruit, lots of grapefruit from the cascade. Bittering increased or sweetness dropped off with time and it is now a very drinkable pale ale.

Nice. I followed my original plan except beefed up my last 2 additions to 1.5 oz each. I'll see what it's like when taking fg and decide on an possible dry hop addition or two.

Looks great! I've done a few SMaSH beers now with Centennial that are very similar hop schedules and have turned out great. Definitely recommend a dry hop, even if it's 0.5oz for 4-7 days will go a long way for aroma!

+1 for the dry hopping advice.

Also consider adding the flameout hops a little later... mid-chill when the wort is in the 140-150 degree range. You're probably not getting the full aroma potential from your flameout kettle hops if the chilling bath is taking 1hr+ as the hops are sitting in hot wort.

To speed up the chilling, stir (aka whirlpool) your wort with a large sanitized spoon until it stops steaming. This is great for settling the cold break to the bottom of the kettle too. Oh, and leave that danged lid off the kettle unless bugs are circling :)

I would probably bring down the BU:GU ratio slightly. With no character malts, it could end up a bit thin. Easy solution would be to just move your 15 min addition to flame-out.
