this is my second kit.
i have a "true brew" all malt pale ale kit brewing. it's been 15 days now. it started at 1.043 and is currently at 1.017, for a calculated 3.5% alcohol. it's still bubbling along. i can see the tiny bubbles and the airlock is releasing them at about 8 seconds. the instructions say that it should be at final range, 1.010 to 1.012 within 3 or 4 days. our house temperature is about 75 - 78 degrees.
i'm just going to wait another week or so and check it again.

You've got the right idea. Just keep on waiting till your gravity reading hits your expected level and there is no airlock activity.
