Ok, I could be going crazy. I made a 6.5% ABV peat smoked scottish ale.

Its about 1.5 months old, i dont have much left and the rest of what i have has bee sititing in a keg for most of this time.

My question is, the smokey taste that it had when i initially tasted it has died down, and whats left is a very, very ,slight hint of sour at the end of tasting. Its no unpleasant just odd. Its towards the end of the swallow.

I dont think this beer is infected, as i have been drinking it out of the keg for a while now, and this is the first time i noticed this taste.

What do you guys think? Maybe time to clean the plumbing?

What's the recipe? Could have been there all the time but the smoke covered it.

My wife complains of sourness on many beers, usually Lagers.

its hard to describe, almost tastes like carbonated water. im wondering if its overcarbonated.

mostly pale 2 row, 1% peat malt, mash temp 155, very little hops, cal ale yeast cake that we had sitting around
