Six gallon carboy

My buddy just gave me 2 six gallon carboys, are these ok for making 5 gallon batches or should I continue using my 7 gallon buckets?

Would recommend always starting off fermentation with a blow off tube, that could be a little tight on head space.

That's what I've always used. I always start with a blowoff tube anyway just in case.
