So I wanted to update this thread a little. I'm drinking the Saaz version right now. I can definately say that my taste was a little off at bottling due to my cold. The Saaz brew is more bitter than I expected, but in a good way. There is enough bitterness in the back end, but it is not harsh. What I am excited about is the hop flavor. Even though I brewed this as an ale, I can clearly taste the similarities between this and all those american lagers that use Saaz hops. There is more of it since I used 30 IBU's, but the flavor is there. The aroma is fairly herbal, not very fruity and definately not citrusy or spicy.
