Simple newbie question

Hello all tgis is my third time brewing and my fermentation is so active I needed to switch my airlock for a blow out tube. Thing is I had no way to attach my tube to the rubber stopper so I used a pen cap that I sanitized very well. Is there any problems the cap could cause ? Sorry for the stupid question btw. Also the water at the end of the tube should be sanitizer right ?

Part of home brewing is being creative...do you have a 3 piece airlock that you can attach a 1/2 " ID tube to?...if not if it works let it go and adjust the next time as long as it was sanitized as you stated. I buy items for my next brew all the time based on errors or improvements i find as I go along...I swear I will stop buying at some point lol. And the tube end should be sanitizer and some use vodka.
