Simple All Grain with a Kicker

So Ive got my first all grain brew coming up and I was looking for a simple pale ale recipe that I could do a few times in order to get my bearings on the brewing technique. I would however enjoy something with a decently high ABV. Basically Ive just brewed 3 pretty heavy extracts in a row and wouldnt mind getting the bang without so much buck (alcohol without the heavyness).

What percent are you looking for?

Depending on your efficiency, my Haus Ale has hit 6% ABV before.
