side by side fridge kegerator temp control?

Is it possible to do separate temp control on a side by side fridge instead of using the built in thermostat? Cause the freezer side would be too cold to chill a keg. And I would like to use the fridge side to to fermentation.

I use a stc100 on a dedicated industrial fridge and that works perfectly. But wondering if it would be possible to
