I started this a while back, thought I would add mine to the mix.

Been running about 6 months, no issues - I put two Auber PID controllers in the freezer door and bypassed the OEM thermo - once I started cutting was done in a couple hours to current state.

Still want to install Heater on fermentation side.

The good-
- can ferment 15 gallons on fridge side
- 2x 5 gallon and 1x 3 gallon serving/conditioning on freezer
- some storage for hops/grain etc

The bad-
- had to use a 3 gallon keg ($120) because of circ fan on freezer side
- storage space is limited, have to store extra kegs at ferm temps

Overall - I am very happy with this unit - when I was only brewing 5 gals at a time it was spot on - now that I have a larger brew rig - have to invest in a freezer (upcoming! :mug: )

If you have install questions - shoot, I'll help with what I learned.

Cheers and thanks again HBT!

pretty cool, though I'm wondering have you had any violent blow offs? I'd be worried about it getting shorted out if so.

That is a sweet set-up i want one. Be cool idea if you put a heater on fermentor side make sure the insulation it still good
