My first pressure fermented mead.

6.5 week old standard honey mead. Just racked it into the secondary. Had to test it and it’s light and sweet but there is the slightest bitter afterbite. Hoping that is just from some of the yeast sediment?

Enjoying some Raspberry/Pomegranate melomel that I started on 12/28/21. It was a 4 gallon batch that came out absolutely delicious! Made with BOMM yeast & feeding protocols.

I really like the idea of packaging mead in those little bottles. I have a whole box I generally use for hot sauce and simple syrups, but now I will be trying this. I can't believe this never occurred to me. They are a bit cheaper than the 187ml bottles I have used in the past.

Homebrewed mead flight left to right traditional 13.5% clover honey mead, traditional 14.3% fall wildflower mead, clover honey with blackberries and raspberry 18%, and clover/wildflower honey with blueberries aged on french oak 19.3%. The 2 in the snifter glass are clear but have a chill haze from cold crashing .

A bottle from each of my first two batches. A strawberry hibiscus (*very* backsweetened, used a lot of a home-infused honey with some hibiscus tea leaves) and a blueberry vanilla (no backsweetening, but I stopped fermentation early and then added the vanilla)
