Hi, I've heard a lot about krausen, would someone mind showing it to me. I think its the stuff pictured below. Is there a difference between the right and left side of foam? or is it just the wort being suspended in the bubbling. THanks for all the help!

and I would appriciate no comments about me blowing away the 5 gallon mark by at least a gallon... i seem to have lost count when filling my kettle...

THANKS!

The foam on top IS the krausen! Just a bunch of protiens and CO2 bubbles if i\I'm not mistaken. The one on top lloks kind of like the yin-yang symbot. Most tranquil.

Yes, when drinking it is easy to add too much water to the kettle and/or carboy. You keep saying "Just a little more...(burp)". Look at it this way - you get more beer!
