So I am in the market for a grain mill. I am getting back into brewing after a long long time off. I want to go all grain and buy in bulk. I have been looking at the barley mill and millars mill. The barley mill is now on sale at beer smith for $50 cheaper than millars. Any reason not to go with the barley? If I had the extra cash, I would also be looking at the monster mill. Thanks

I had a Barley Crusher (for many years) and it was fine. I bought a Monster Mill II this spring - it is awesome. It costs more....but, worth every penny. That thing crushes some grain.

There's a bare bones roller mill on clearance at Austin Homebrew for $60 at the moment. Mine hasn't arrived yet, but it's one cheap option to look at.

It doesn't seem to be perfect from the reviews, but it does seem to work.

I hemmed and hawed about this for a while a few months ago, but since I have a "buy once cry once" attitude about tools and equipment, went with a monster mill, mm2-2.0. It's more mill than I need now (5 gal batches every 2 weeks or so) but if I ever scale up it should be able to handle pretty much anything.
