So I'm having two cases of Yuengling traditional Lager bottles shipped to me from NY to IA. What is the best way to get the cases here unharmed, undetected and best carrier to use? Also what do you think its going to cost to ship two cases?

The legality of shipping alcohol between states really varies from state to state. If you aren't sure if it is going to be legal or not, don't use the USPS. Instead use Fedex of UPS. I imagine that the cost to ship 2 cases of beer will cost more than the beer itself! Good choice on the Yuengling though :)

In Indiana, it's illegal for me to send beer places, AFAIK. I've heard of people using DHL to ship beer, but usually it's just a couple of bottles for contests and such.

So, I don't know. Helpful, huh? ;)

There is a sticky about mailing beer in one of the sub-forums, though, so give that a read.

are they just bottles or is there beer in them? make sure they use lots of bubble wrap and stuff whatever is needed in there until there's absolutely no movement in the box. technically, it's illegal to send beer via USPS and against 'policy' to do it with UPS/FedEx, but people still do it quite often. i'd say go with one of them. i sent 16 beers to a friend in NYC recently and it cost me about $20 for the actual shipping and another $10 or so in packaging material. so, i would guess you're looking at $50 depending on what shipping option you take.
