Yes it is - ODI Ruffian grip that I had lying around, as well as an old v-brake brake lever. I can't take credit for it, I spotted something similar in one of the tap handle threads on here, and since I mountain bike (well, used to) wanted to use something. I had the cheap plastic generic handles on there, and felt it lacked character, so...

It's pouring my Racer 5 clone, which turned out remarkably well (well enough that four out of four folks trying it preferred it over the real thing).

No, your error is thinking that we don't all feel the same way about our gear. There are a few with ugly junk, but they seem to be equally proud.

I've rapidly come to the conclusion that no junk is "ugly" as long as it does it's job. Personally, I'm annoyed that I had to go to the trouble of making this thing, when all I REALLY wanted to do was do a basic keezer with a collar. Maybe I'll have to build a wee one of those next...
