I just finished off a kegged mead. It was an 8% ABV blackberry/mulberry/coffee mead. I went ahead and disassembled and cleaned and sanitized my keg, but it still has a strong fruit smell. I wanted to use this keg for a hoppy farmhouse ale that I have ready to go, but I am worried that the fruit smell might overtake the beer. Do you treat meads the same way you would soda (i.e. separate kegs devoted to each?). Or should I not worry about the smell?

I disassembled the posts soaked them in PB W. Soaked the entire keg in PBW. Ran PBW through the draft line for 5 minutes.soak the keg in star san and ran that through the draft lines for 2 minutes.
