Ok, I got a gukden draak clone going. OG was fairly high for the recipe. I'm using WLP545. Right now my temp is set at 70f. I understand it's a good Idea to gradually bring up the temp a bit over a few days. Is that true ?

Started 4 days ago.
OG 1.117
Current 1.058

I'm really afraid of this stalling. It didn't start as aggressive as I'd like and has slowed way down (bubble every 4-5sec in airlock).

Any help us VERY appreciated.

Raise the set point up on your temp controller and let it free rise. It will take a couple days for the fermenting wort to equalize with the external temp.

Moved your question from the recipe database, which is for tried-and-true recipes, to the fermentation sub-forum.

As for your question, when I make my Belgian Golden Strong, I start the fermentation at mid-60s and let it move up to around 80 over the course the fermentation. There's a lot of factors that go into it beyond temps, like if you used sugar in your grain bill, mash temp, amount of yeast you pitched, etc. But ramping up the temps for these kinds of beers is something quite a few brewers do.

Good luck!

I was stuck at 1.035 for over 4 days. Re-pitched with mangrove and now waiting. Worst case it comes out a bit sweet.
