So whats the other 2 secrets? My IPAs are good but not epic...I want epic

2. Hops - Fresh (most recent crop year). Roughly 1 lb per 5 gallons. Need to spread across bittering, late, whirlpool and dry. I added 1mL of distilled hop oil (from morebeer) to each keg this last time and it amped up the aroma to levels i've never experienced in home brew. I suspect a lot of commercial IPAs are using it because it's pretty distinct and i've only sensed that aroma in IPAs i've bought.

3. Low oxygen process - this one always seems to stir **** up but frankly it's the truth. both hot and cold side please. i just tapped a batch i made 3 months ago and it's still 100% amazing hop juice. you must spund the beer in the keg if you have any hope of retaining the hoppiness.

I'm going to have to pick up some hop oil. This isnt the first time I've heard good things about.

Thats the same as a hop shot right?

No i think hop shot is a supercritical CO2 extracted non-isomerized oil. You have to boil that and its purpose is to get flavorless IBUs.

I'm not entirely sure how the distilled hop oil is made but it's function is purely to add a ridiculous dose of aromatics. Seems that it contains mostly volatile aromatic hop compounds in some sort of solvent (it's not water or alcohol though). If you get even a drop of this stuff on you it'll smell like you were intimate with a hop plant for a couple days.

This is what i used... i actually tried both varieties they sell but i struggle to notice a difference: https://www.morebeer.com/products/distilled-hop-oil-el-dorado-1-ml.html
