do you guys bother with doing a secondary fermentation for a hefe?

i'm thinking that might reduce the amount of yeast in the bottle and i'm really not concerned with clairity

You hit the nail on the head!! Give that man a cigar!!!

That's EXACTLY why I do a secondary on my HWs...I let it clear then I rack only a little yeast into the bottling bucket/keg. Just enough to get it cloudy again. ;):D:mug:

thanks!
it's sitting in secondary now.
it will be an intresting batch. Had some major boil over, adjusted batch size to 3gal to hit the OG. Tasted good at the transfer out of primary. With i had another couple gal.

I just suck some up with the autosyphon. Take a look at the cloudiness afterwards. If it's not cloudy enough for you just suck up some more.

The major point is all that yeast left in the bucket is NOT in your bottles. ;)

I prefer to have a 1/16" versus 1/4" in the bottle. :mug:
