Secondary Odor

Have had my Oregon Original IPA in the secondary for almost 3 weeks now, plan to bottle Saturday. Moved it into the kitchen Wednesday. Started noticing a garbage odor Thursday, did not think it was the beer, but have eliminated everything else I can think of. Don't smell it when I put my nose to the airlock, just smells like beer. Is this possibly the beer?
Several Christmases ago we had a mystery smell in the kitchen a week or so after, finally found a half a tray of stuffed mushrooms accidentally put on an upper shelf in the pantry! I'm having flashbacks!

If the beer smells like beer and tastes like beer it's not the beer

i doubt the smell is the beer, especially if you cant smell anything bad out of the airlock
