I'm brewing an Irish stout should I just let it sit for the two weeks in the secondary or check it. It tasted a bit harsh at the fg reading

All grain or extract? SG and FG? How long in primary and what temp?

Without knowing any details, I would just say wait it out, especially if you did not prefer the taste of your last sample.

Grains and extract

More like 2-3 weeks in primary. You don't need to secondary, unless you're aging the beer or adding fruit or something.

Sounds like its too late for that.

OP, you should have left it in primary much longer. Keep track of the gravity to make sure you don't end up with a stuck fermentation. If you do, you could add more yeast (which I guess you could do anyway) to finish fermentation and clean up off flavors.
