Hey, I just racked a hard apple cider, made from pasteurized cider and Nottingham yeast, to a secondary carboy. It isn't quite full. I guess we didn't start with enough. See picture attached. I don't want it to oxidize, so am looking for advice on what to do now.

I though about filling it up with fresh cider, but realize that will kick off fermentation again. I assume that I'll then have to rack it off the resulting lees one more time.

I've also read that cans of various types of gas can be purchased and used to create a protective layer in the carboy.

Seems like too much space to fill up with sanitized glass marbles.

Another consideration is that the airlock has been bubbling a small amount. It is pretty much dry (FG 1.002), though.

Thoughts?
