well yesterday we racked our first brew into the 2nd fermentor.. and it looks so pretty! (just being a girl)..

did some grain brewing yesterday .. made what was called a "lagernot" which was a sweet grain beer...

mashed crystal malt, corn maize and two row pale..after sparging added lt malt extract and honey..

finished off with the addition of saaz hops and then pitched the yeast

the first reading was pretty good..but theres NO activity at all in the fermentor.. im a little worried.. should i be? finished it up about 930 last night...

i sure hope that it all worked it sure smelled good and im excited..but i did this one basically all on my own and i hope it didnt mess it up..

any advice?

Your yeast are probobly still multiplying. The more oxygen you get into the wort, the longer this growth phase lasts. Give it 24-48 hours to get going.

By the way, good brew IS pretty! Except wheats, of course.
