SCOBY Questions, cycle and storage

So as I start on my 4th batch (so far so good), I am just wondering how many times you all are re-using your SCOBYs? As far as storage as they build up (I am single batch only right now)...air tight, w/kombucha to cover in a cool place. Do I need to feed some sugar from time to time?

Yes you'd need to treat it like you would a regular batch just not as often if its in cold storage. I keep mine in the jars they came from until they get 1/2-1" thick then I toss them and grow new ones. They take up product volume in the batch.
