This forum is probably the best place for you to be. Sometimes I think there is more info on this site than google! Welcome to the obsession! :mug:

I learned a ton by using a couple resources. How to Brew by John Palmer is excellent and is online at www.howtobrew.com. This site is excellent. I use the iPad forum app and the search results are a bit spotty, but I find that googling my questions inevitably leads to a discussion on this forum with great ideas and answers. YouTube has lots of great how to videos for all aspects of home brewing. Seeing it done can be more useful than reading it.

Good luck, welcome.

I'm a new recruit also, so I'm also scouring the Net for information.

I agree about John Palmer's How To Brew web site or book. It's full of useful informaton. The web site represents the first addition of the How To Brew book.

I just started readiing the The New Complete Joh of Home Brewing by Charlie Papazian.

If you have an iPad, there are some videos out there called Booze How Tooz. It was the first info I found when I got interested in the hobby.

Midwest Supply included a basic instructional dvd in my beer kit. I watched it 3 times before brewing my first batch.

And of course as mentioned previously - this forum. There are a lot of brewers here who enjoy sharing the benefits of many years of brewing experience.
