Just wondering if anyone ever has ever used a "satellite" during the bottling process to give you a sneak peak of what the final product will be like?

I've read that bigger bottles like bombers may take more time to properly carb up compared to normal 12oz bottles. So I assume that means smaller bottles would carb up even quicker?
I've got a couple small 4 oz brown bottles and I was thinking I could fill one during each bottling session and then try it after 7-10 days to give me a preview of what the rest of the batch should be like.
It would help take some of the stress out of the waiting...unless it's really really good which might make the next 2 weeks even harder...:)

I don't know about the carbing, but it sounds like a good idea if you want to cut back on your sample size. Me, I just drink the other 2/3rds. It is not really going to give you an idea of the final product, just the progress.
