I picked up a 12 of Saranac's new winter seasonal "Big Moose Ale". This is a really hop forward beer. Absolutely delicious. Their website describes it as a "Pale Ale with a kick". It's more of an IPA to me. The label on the bottle claims they dry hop this ale with Citra, Centennial, and Cascade.

Worth giving a try if it's sold in your area, IMO.

I used to love me some Saranac when I lived in NY. Great stuff! I heard they had a fire a year or so ago. Maybe longer. You have any details on that? Hope they're doing ok.

The same brewer is making Cotsco brand beer (New York Brewing Co) for the Eastern US.

Saranac is typically too malt-forward for my tastes, and a little too little aroma. But, I'll definitely give this a shot if I find it! Kyle

I have a soft spot for Saranac, particularly their malty styles. Their imperial stout (hard to find, but if you can it's worth it) is one of my favorite beers i've ever had.h
