I tried the standard Sorachi 1984 a few years ago, and was surprised by the dill aroma. I didn't care for it at all, but I saw this Sorachi 1984 Double in the supermarket yesterday and decided to give it a try, y'know, for the sake of research.

The "Double" in the name apparently refers to an additional late boil addition.

The IBUs seem to be in the 30s, 6% ABV.

My wife and I agreed that the dill aroma is definitely still there, but seems to disappear once you take a drink of it.

That's probably the weirdest hop out there.

I think I brewed my very first beer with it and it turned out good. No dill, maybe I oxidised it away by accident.
