Is Third Window kid friendly? My brother's visiting Santa Barbara in July, and he asked about any local places worth checking out. Not sure if he'll have kids with him or not (they're doing a family vacation thing at UCSB that has lots of daycare/children's activities planned) but figured I'd check in case.

Damn, not very good? The initial posts in this thread gave me hope, but granted, they're a bit old.
I think he meant the beer was not KID friendly. I actually like Third Window quite a bit. Their non-BA stouts are on point and super tasty and their IPAs are pretty decent (keep in mind I don't like IPAs that much). Definitely stop in and give them a try.

There is also a wine tasting room and restaurant under the same roof (but separate businesses), so you can get a little something for everyone.

Yep, I’m an idiot, thanks for the clarification!

Well Lama Dog is pretty cool, and the food is fantastic. Love any bar with outdoor/indoor seating arrangement. Wandering to Topa Topa shortly and then another quick bite at Helena Ave bakery. Got a great Airbnb downtown too, going to do some wandering tonight, hopefully eat/drink at a few different places.

If you're looking for a nice spot to check out this evening/tonight, I recommend Red Piano. No food, but great entertainment, nice crowd, good liquor selection (BTAC, some PvW, high end tequila), and decent local beer selection.
