Sanke to Corny?

Has anyone ever tried to convert a Sanke keg to a corny keg? I know they can be cut into brew kettles and fermentors, but have yet to see anyone covert it to a corny keg setup.

I have seen a pic of someone doing this but don't remember where.

But why would you do that when you could just get a sanke coupler.
