Does anyone run the drain to the bottom of the keg on there mash tun. I know the room is tight under there for an elbow and piping. But you could tack another ring to the bottom of the keg to raise the bottom high enough to accommodate the piping. No hole needed in your false bottom, no wort loss due to dead space and less parts to clean.

I have a bottom draining sanke keg MLT. My plumbing is cut through the stand, and I can lift it out if I want, as well as totally disconnect it if I want. I do have a hole in my false bottom, though, so that I can use a screw to hold the false bottom in place to keep it from floating or getting knocked off.
