Hi All. I'm a beginning brewer in the process of buying equipment and I had a few questions about using Sanke Kegs as fermentors.
I plan to brew in 5 gallon batches and want to use a Slim 1/4 Sanke as my primary fermentor. My concern is about the leftover head space in a Slim 1/4 Sanke, is it too much for a 5 gallon batch or is it acceptable?
I'm also planning to use a 1/6th bbl Sanke for a secondary fermentor or conditioning. Is it large enough to be used as a secondary fermentor for a 5 gallon batch or do I need to consider using a Slim 1/4 Sanke instead?
