I'm new to homebrewing and am afraid I may have made a batch-ruining error, curious to get your feedback and if anyone else has done this before.

Last night I was bottling the IPA that I brewed 2 weeks ago and just prior to bottling I used my new vinator and bottle tree to sanitize the bottles. I had read a good bit about one-step sanitizer and how it doesn't need to be rinsed, which is what I thought I was using. Unfortunately after I had bottled all 49 beers I realized that the sanitizer was actually a chlorine based sanitizer. The stuff I used is Brewers Edge Cleanser from Williams Brewing, it appears to have a 125ppm chlorine level when mixed with water. Since I was confused and thought I was using a no-rinse santizer I did not rinse the bottles after using the sanitizer and vinator on them, I just let them dry for about 20 mins before bottling.

I can't imagine there would be enough chlorine in my bottles to harm me, but I'm more concerned that it might affect the conditioning process or leave a funny taste in the beers. There was no noticeable liquid in the bottles when I added the beer.

Has anyone done this and have feedback on what the beer tasted like?

Thanks

Matt

In the event that someone searches this after making the same mistake, I should follow-up by saying that I tasted the beer after 7 days of conditioning and I didn't notice any obvious off-flavors. Not sure if its because the hoppy nature of the beer overpowers any slight off-flavors or that the sanitizer was in such small quantities that it didn't harm the beer, but the beer had great head retention and tasted great.

Anyways, I guess the moral of the story is to not worry, relax and have a homebrew.
